Love Archbishop Tutu!  He has a new book out called, Made for Goodness and Time Magazine sat down with him for 10 questions. He was candid with his answers, with statements like -” I am not optimistic, no. I am quite different from that. I am hopeful.” and “If not for the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, South Africa would have gone up in flames.”  Check out the video, only 5 minutes and really informative. If not for the information, watch it to hear him laugh – it’s fantastic.

Big things poppin’ in Nigeria yesterday.  With over 2000 strong, the peaceful protesters of the Enough is Enough movement marched to the National Assembly in Abuja to have their voices heard and presence felt.  In addition to the fantastic efforts the group put in to have their demands heard on the state of Nigerian leadership, fuel security, the sufferings in Jos and electricity infrastructure, live feeds, tweets and facebook chatter allowed for people to tune in, voice their opinions and participate from all over the world.  It was absolutely amazing.

It’s Turkey Day!!

I had a little bit of a wake up call yesterday as I was running around school, trying to get a few things in order before leaving to go home and be with the family.  On my way to print my ticket, I stopped to chat with a friend and he asked where I’d be for the holiday.  Excitedly, I said, “Home with the fam in Jersey!”  He smiled and I asked him what he was doing. …

Okay.  So maybe I didn’t exactly say word for word that David Adjaye would someday be one of FastCompany’s Masters of Design for 2009.  But I could have been thinking it And look, two months later, it’s happened.

“You’ve gotta be a showman. You can’t just do your work. You’ve got to put it out there. Nobody’s going to give you ten million pounds if you can’t demonstrate your ability.” Given the fact that people are actually handing over that much, and more, for his time and talent, it’s safe to say David Adjaye is a little bit of a phenom.
