Naeto C dropped the video for the single, Ten Over Ten, from his much anticipated album, Super C Season, which debued on Feburary 7. Check out the vid after the click.

"Refreshing." That was the first word that came to mind when I saw the video for Ten Over Ten. Girls weren't naked, Naeto was in Gidi proper and there was a clip of him getting his degree. Real life good stuff. Enjoyed it. Video was directed by Bobby Boulders. Nice job gentlemen.

This man MI was trending on Twitter. Major moves. Massive. MI's Chocolate City LP is out and everyone's excited. Music fans all over the globe were tweeting, blogging and generally raving about the album. Loved this tweet from MI himself: Aside from copping the album, its cool to be apart of this moment. Proud of what MI has and is accomplishing and proud, as a Nigerian, to be part of something that puts a product of the country in the spotlight for good reason. Feeling kind of powerful right now. Like Naija is kind of a big deal right now.

Naeto C – First Artist Signed to Cedric Muhammad’s CM Cap

Former Wu-Tang Management General Manager, Cedric Muhammad has signed Naeto C as the first client-artist for his new international brand management and strategic marketing firm. Yes, Boss. Click for more deets.

As for what Cedric plans to do for his new clients, Allhiphop.com reports:

“I’m excited and humbled to be in a position to not only have my finger on the pulse of where the music business and global economy are headed, but also the necessary influence and network to help develop and guide artists in an empowering way," Cedric Muhammad said. "My goal is to help them build earning potential even when the music stops and to demonstrate that the future of the business lies not in hot beats and rhymes or great performance alone, but more importantly, in brands and leadership qualities that represent the best interests and aspirations of people and organizations – at a local and international level.”

Guess this means we'll be seeing a lot more of Naeto C - Storm360 artist, award-winning lyricist and self proclaimed 'only MC with an MsC,' - in print, digital and on social media, especially when his album, Super C Season comes out. Should be good times - met him not too long ago at the HBS Business Conference (<--click for event wrap up and more photos). Not only did he perform (the crowd was shakaring a bit but he cracked jokes, did his thing, and kept the music flowing), he also sat on an entertainment panel and spoke authentically about Nigeria's music industry, distribution issues and what was needed to help develop the sector. Def an artist we want to see succeed.

To start off your week on a fly note, playing on afiiveTV today is an up and coming Nigerian artist by the name of Bez.

After listening to the track and watching the video (directed by Kemi Adetiba), his sound and flavor is reminiscent of John Legend and Asa, John Mayer and other souful, sultry-esque artists. But then again, he's also a bit distinct, intricately weaving in soul, jazz, r&b and hip hop for what he calls "alternative soul." So far, iDig. How about you?
