It’s been a whole year since his passing so of course we had to commemorate MJ with something special, afriStyle. Started looking around and found a fab vignette of the man himself on his 1992 trip to Africa. His first stop was Gabon, where he was met by 100,000 people! And while in the Ivory Coast, he was made a king. Love it..some continents give people pens for coming to visit, Africa gives you a crown. Click to check the footage:

Love Archbishop Tutu! He has a new book out called, Made for Goodness and Time Magazine sat down with him for 10 questions. He was candid with his answers, with statements like -” I am not optimistic, no. I am quite different from that. I am hopeful.” and “If not for the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, South Africa would have gone up in flames.” Check out the video, only 5 minutes and really informative. If not for the information, watch it to hear him laugh – it’s fantastic.

Read about H-Kayne, a Moroccan hip-hop group in the February issue of Arise Magazine and had to blog about them; admittedly, I have NO clue what they are rapping about (please, if you can translate, please do!) but the video is pretty good and quite hilar. Enjoy the vid and more info about the group when you click.
