Not too long ago, a few friends of mine went to the Wale concert in DC and came back, raving about it and especially about this dude, Tabi Bonney.  When I found out he was born in Lome – my third home -  I had to look him up. I must say, I dig what I found:  Born in Togo to a mother from DC and a father from Lome. Dad is afro-funk veteran, Itadi Bonney (Click to preview music on iTunes). Reps the District, directs videos, utilizes catchy beats, has a unique fashion sense. PLUS, the man has a masters in Biology and Secondary Education and an undergrad in Biology Pre-Med. #verynice
