The Kinky Comeback
While the ability to change hairstyles at the moments notice is what some might deem a super hero ability, sometimes it becomes necessary to put the weave, relaxers and heat styling products down for a little bit. Maybe your edges need a break (or a chance to grow back), or maybe you've finally embraced a different definition of fly. Whatever the case may be, natural hair is thankfully, making a comeback. It used to be that women who wore their hair natural were viewed as "different". You know the stereotype. Earthy, probably into spoken word, burned incense in their homes, dated men with locks, were on that neo-soul tip, etc. etc. But today, women are shattering old and ill-informed stereotypes, and blazing new paths. More and more ladies, from different walks of life, are embracing the kinky and rocking natural hair styles like its nobody's business! From the uber fly Tracee Ellis Ross to singer , woman are wearing their 'fros, locks, braids, short dos and more with some fierce feminine flare.

Collection of Le Coil Snapshots via of Andrea @ FlyGirls.
- Le Coil - a fantastic collection of photos celebrating natural hair. So many different women, with different, fly styles. Definitely a great place to start for inspiration.
- Clutch Magazine - Clutch did a very thorough article on the natural hair care resources available on line. From info on Nappturality to Afrobella, they've got you covered.

Love it! I remember when not that many women were rocking natural hair and I used to get sooooo many questions about mine but now it’s becoming more “natural” to see women rocking their natural hair. I for one can say I am super excited to see that these styles are being embraced and that if you are natural you can still be fierce and fly without conforming to stereotypes.
