Sahara Reporters Tell It Like It Is. And We Like It.
Just heard about Sahara Reporters over this past weekend when aunts were gisting about the recent bust of the large Nigerian ID Theft Ring in New York. (crazy stuff -
check out the coverage here). Upon visiting the site, (and yelling about how the men and women involved have disgraced Naijas all over the world with their behavior) we were delightfully surprised at the provocative and engaging style the different articles were written in. Based on it's unique organization, "comprising of ordinary people with an overriding commitment to seeking the truth and publishing it without fear or favor, " who are "unapologetic practitioners of advocacy journalism," its easy to see why, though you may or may not agree with the opinions and positions expressed, the writing is still a must read. For an interesting take on what's poppin' in Naija, check out
