When Vogue Italia first let the word out that such an issue would be made, I was a little skeptical.  How would the women be photographed?  Was there some twisted agenda behind this?

But I must say, judging from what I have been hearing (people pre-ordered their copies so I am patiently waiting for mine), the issue is fantastic.

Among the models featured are Kenya’s own Liya Kebede, Somalia’s Iman and Yasmine Warsame as well as Sudan’s Alek Wek.  Looking forward to seeing the actual issue, but in the meantime, photos are below:
