Hmm…I should take a more hardline approach to this and speak about the politics but my first reaction to the story about South Africa’s President, Jacob Zuma, overcoming the no-confidence vote, called by the opposition on account of him having a child out of wedlock was: “Really? That’s what you called a no-confidence vote for?” On one hand, it’s refreshing to know that there are people out there actually outraged about it…
Love Archbishop Tutu! He has a new book out called, Made for Goodness and Time Magazine sat down with him for 10 questions. He was candid with his answers, with statements like -” I am not optimistic, no. I am quite different from that. I am hopeful.” and “If not for the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, South Africa would have gone up in flames.” Check out the video, only 5 minutes and really informative. If not for the information, watch it to hear him laugh – it’s fantastic.
